You don't have to build inspection templates from scratch. Pistonlog ships with two reference templates covering the most common general checks:
- Car Service Check Sheet — a standard pre-/post-service car inspection
- Motorbike Service Check Sheet — the equivalent for motorbikes
They're useful starting points if you'd otherwise spend a couple of hours building one from scratch.
How to import a bundle
Open Workshop Settings → Inspections
From the admin sidebar.
Click Import Template
A separate Import Template button (not in the same list as your own templates) opens a dialog listing the bundled templates.
Pick a bundle and import
Pistonlog creates a new inspection_templates row in your garage with the bundle's schema. It's a normal template from that point on — you own it, you can edit it, you can delete it.
They're not read-only
Once imported, the template is fully editable — the import dialog creates the copy for you, so there's no separate "duplicate" step. Edit it, rearrange fields, rename it, add or remove items. The original bundle stays available to import again whenever you need a fresh starting point.
