Plans & Billing

Choose your plan, manage your subscription, and update payment details

Your Pistonlog subscription is managed from Workshop Settings — the Manage Workshop Subscription page shows your current plan and lets you cancel, resume, change plan, and update your payment method.

Only the company Owner can view and change the subscription — the Manage Workshop Subscription page and all payment actions are owner-only.

Your subscription plan

The plan you're on controls which features are available across your garage. Some features — including Inspections and Reminders — require a higher tier. If you try to use a locked feature, you'll see an upgrade prompt.

If your garage has no active plan (for example, after a subscription is cancelled), a paywall blocks access to the app until you choose one.

Choose or change your plan

Open Manage Workshop Subscription

Go to Workshop Settings → Manage Workshop Subscription. Your current plan is shown here.

Open the plan picker

Click Change Plan to open the Billing page with the available tiers.

Pick a plan

Click Switch to the plan you want (or Contact Us for Enterprise) and confirm.

Opening Manage Workshop Subscription and selecting a different plan

Billing is processed through Stripe. Choosing a plan takes you to Stripe Checkout to confirm payment, then returns you to the app.

Update your payment method

To change your card or billing details, go to Workshop Settings → Manage Workshop Subscription and click Manage in Stripe. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can add, remove, or replace payment methods and see past invoices.

Keep your payment method up to date. If a renewal fails the subscription becomes past due, and if it's eventually cancelled a paywall blocks the app until you choose a plan again.

SMS credits

SMS credits are separate from your subscription — they're a prepaid top-up for appointment reminders, MOT and service reminders, and review requests. You'll find them on the Manage Workshop Credits page in Workshop Settings.

See SMS Credits for details on buying and tracking credit usage.
