My Work is a personal view at /my-work showing the work assigned to you, plus the day's schedule and your recent mentions. It's the technician's home page in Pistonlog — the main feed on mobile, and on web you can make it your default landing page from your profile preferences.
What appears
- Today's Schedule — the garage's appointments for the day, with arrows to step to other days (needs appointment access)
- Recent Mentions — messages where you were @mentioned
- My Jobs — individual jobs (within other jobcards) where you're the assignee of that specific job
- My Inspections — in-progress inspections you started
- My Jobcards — jobcards where you're set as the Assigned To, grouped by status; completed ones drop off
A jobcard with no overall owner that contains one of your jobs appears under an Unassigned group, open for any technician to pick up.
Who uses it
- Technicians — for "what am I working on today?"
- Manager — My Work only ever shows your own assignments; for what each tech has on their plate, use the workflow board's Team view
- Mobile — the technician mobile app's feed is essentially this view, with the customer PII stripped per the PII rule
How it integrates with the kanban
You can keep the workflow board open on a workshop screen and have technicians open My Work on their phone. Both reflect the same data — drag a card into a completed status on the board and it drops off My Work on the next load. Cards on My Work click straight through to the jobcard itself.
