Assigning a jobcard

Set the technician (or anyone) responsible for this jobcard — drives the My Work view on web and mobile

OwnerManagerReception

Every jobcard has an optional Assigned To field. Use it to say "this is Sam's car today" — so when Sam opens the My Work page or the mobile app, this jobcard appears in their list.

What assigning does

  • The assignee shows on the kanban card and the jobcard header
  • The jobcard appears in the assignee's My Work view
  • On mobile, the technician sees it in their feed
  • Assignments are recorded in the activity log
  • The assignee gets a notification when they're assigned

How to assign

Open the jobcard

From the workflow board or jobcard list.

Pick the team member

Use the Assigned To dropdown in the header. Pick any team member who has access to this garage.

Unassign by selecting nobody

The dropdown supports clearing the assignment — useful when the original tech is off and you need it picked up by someone else.

Per-job assignment

Beyond the jobcard-level assignment, you can also assign individual jobs within a jobcard to different technicians — useful when one car needs three different specialists on it. See Jobs, labour, and parts.
