Sending a one-off reminder

Send a single reminder to one customer right now — without waiting for the cron

OwnerManagerReception

Most reminders fire automatically from templates plus jobcard completions or appointments. For one-off cases — a customer ringing up worried they've missed something, or a specific follow-up — you can manually schedule a reminder.

How to send

Open Workshop Settings → Reminders

Click the Send Custom button on the Reminders page. A dialog opens.

Pick the recipient

Search for a customer (or business contact) and the vehicle the reminder relates to.

Write the message and pick the channel

Email (free) or SMS (1 credit). One channel per send.

Set the scheduled date

Reminders are scheduled, not dispatched. Pick a date — if it's today, the daily cron will pick it up at the next run. Click Schedule to save.

Fire immediately (optional)

After scheduling, open the row in the Scheduled tab and click Send now to dispatch it straight away rather than waiting for the cron.

Cron-equivalent "send now"

The Send now action on a scheduled row fires the dispatch manually. It works on any row whose status is scheduled. Failed rows aren't retryable — they'd need to be re-scheduled.
