Suppliers settings

Add, edit, and deactivate the suppliers your garage orders parts from

OwnerManager

The suppliers admin page is where you set up the businesses you buy parts from. Once configured, suppliers can be picked on any part row and feed into the parts returns workflow.

It lives under Workshop Settings

Suppliers is a Workshop Settings page, and the whole of Workshop Settings needs the View settings permission. The default Reception role doesn't have it, so reception staff can pick a supplier on a part row but can't open this page to add or edit one. Owners and managers can. If your front desk needs to manage suppliers, grant View settings to a custom role in Workshop Settings → Roles & Permissions.

Adding a supplier

Open Workshop Settings → Suppliers

From the sidebar, open Workshop Settings, then pick Suppliers.

Click Add Supplier

Fill in name, phone, email(s), website, account number, and any internal notes.

Save

Available immediately in part-row pickers across the garage.

Workshop Settings → Suppliers.

Multiple email addresses per supplier

Suppliers often have one email for orders and another for accounts. Pistonlog lets you store multiple emails per supplier, each with its own label (e.g. "Parts", "Accounts"), so the right address is always on the supplier's card when you need it.

Deactivate, don't delete

A supplier you used in the past is referenced on historical part rows. Deleting them would break those links, so the Remove action deactivates instead: it takes them out of new-part pickers while parts already assigned keep the reference.

Per garage

Suppliers are per garage, not shared across the company. Each garage maintains its own list. See Multi-garage scoping.
