The Messages list at /messages is your inbox-style view of every team conversation you're part of. Jobcard threads (where a teammate posted on a jobcard you're involved with) and direct messages between teammates live side by side, sorted with the most-recently-active at the top.
What's on the list
- Per row: a conversation title (vehicle reg + jobcard ref for jobcard threads, the other person's name for DMs), the last message preview, and the timestamp.
- Unread indicator: bold + a dot if you haven't read the latest message.
- Filter: by conversation type (all, jobcard, direct), plus a free-text search across conversation titles and message bodies.
Click a row to open the conversation in the right-hand pane.
What it draws from
- Jobcard threads — when a teammate posts on a jobcard you're assigned to or part of
- Direct messages — incoming DMs from teammates with the
messages.directpermission
The same data appears on the jobcard's Messages tab (for jobcard threads) and inside the DM dialog (for DMs). The list is just the cross-cutting inbox view.
Notifications
A mention notification fires when a teammate @-mentions you in a message. Plain replies don't trigger a notification — the message just lands in the relevant conversation thread and shows as unread in the list. Push notifications fire on mobile (when installed) for mentions.
