Templates let you save common jobs and inspection checklists so you can apply them to jobcards in a couple of clicks. Instead of typing out the same brake service or pre-MOT checklist every time, create it once as a template and reuse it.
Find templates under Settings → Templates.
Job templates
Job templates pre-fill labour lines and parts when applied to a jobcard. Each template has:
- Title — a descriptive name (e.g. "Full Service", "Brake Pad Replacement — Front")
- Labour items — each with a description and hours
- Parts — each with a description and quantity
Creating a job template
Open job templates
Go to Settings → Templates → Jobs.
Click Add Template
Click the Add Template button.
Build the template
Enter a title, then add your labour lines and parts. Set the hours and quantities for each.
Save

Applying a job template
When adding a job to a jobcard, select a template from the list. The labour and parts lines are pre-filled — you can adjust hours, quantities, and pricing before saving.
Templates save time, not lock you in
A template gives you a starting point. After applying it, you can edit, remove, or add lines as needed. The original template stays unchanged.
Inspection templates
Inspection templates define checklists used when carrying out vehicle inspections. Each template has:
- Title — a name for the inspection type (e.g. "Pre-MOT Check", "Vehicle Health Check")
- Inspection items — numbered checklist rows, each describing something to inspect
Creating an inspection template
Open inspection templates
Go to Settings → Templates → Inspections.
Click Add Template
Click the Add Template button.
Add inspection items
Enter a title, then add your checklist items in order. Each item describes one thing to check — for example, "Brake fluid level" or "Tyre tread depth".
Save
Click Save to store the template.
Using an inspection template
When creating an inspection submission on a jobcard, you select a template. The checklist items are loaded in, and the technician works through them — marking each item as pass, fail, or advisory.
Templates and submissions are separate
Editing a template doesn't change any inspections already submitted using it. Each submission is a snapshot taken at the time it was created.
Editing and deleting templates
Click any template in the list to edit it. You can update the title, add or remove lines, and save. To delete a template, click the delete button — existing jobcards that used the template are not affected.
Access
Only managers and owners can create, edit, or delete templates. Templates are configured at the garage level and available to all team members when creating jobcards.
