Sending a review request

After a job's complete, send the customer a review request — the link to your public review page is appended automatically

A review request asks a customer for feedback about a specific jobcard. Pistonlog sends them a message with a link to your public review page where they leave their rating and comment.

How to send

Finish the work first

The request is most effective when the customer has a fresh experience to rate — move the jobcard to your completed status first.

Click Send review request

On the jobcard header. The dialog opens with your default review template pre-filled.

Pick a channel

Email (free), SMS (one credit), or both.

Send

The message goes out. The review link is appended automatically at the end of the body — you can edit the body text, but you can't accidentally delete the link.

Timing

You can send straight after marking a jobcard complete, or wait a day or two if you want the customer's feelings to settle. There's no automated "X days after completion" delivery — it's a manual trigger from the jobcard.

Idempotent-ish

Pistonlog doesn't stop you sending more than one review request per jobcard, but the customer's response is per-jobcard, so subsequent requests act as reminders to leave the review.
