Every customer-facing output Pistonlog produces — invoice, estimate, inspection report, reminder, appointment confirmation — pulls your garage details from here. Set them once and everything is consistent. You'll find the page at Workshop Settings → Workshop Info.
What to fill in
Workshop-level fields:
| Field | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Workshop name | Header of every printout + email |
| Address | Customer-facing documents |
| Phone | Customer-facing documents + CTA buttons in emails |
| VAT number | Invoice header (when set; falls back to the company-level VAT number if blank) + VAT figures on tax reports and accountant exports |
| SMS sender name | The sender name on text messages to customers (up to 11 letters or numbers; blank sends from "Pistonlog") |
Opening times aren't set here: they live in Working hours.
Company-level fields (set once, used across all your garages):
| Field | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Company name | Your company identity, edited on the Company Settings page |
| Logo | Header of customer-facing printouts (uploaded on the Workshop Info page, shared company-wide) |
| VAT number | Used as the default when a garage's own VAT field is blank |
| Company email | Reply-to and garage contact email on customer emails and invoices |
Logo upload
The logo appears at the top of customer-facing printouts. Supported formats are JPEG, PNG, SVG and WebP, up to 2MB; SVG or a high-resolution PNG renders sharpest on both screen and paper. A wide (landscape) logo with a transparent background works best; if yours is square, expect it to look small.
Per garage
Each garage has its own garage-info block. A company running multiple garages has different addresses, phone numbers, and possibly VAT numbers — set each garage's details independently.
