An appointment is the scheduled drop-off slot for a jobcard (an appointment can also stand alone, or be linked to a specific job on the jobcard). It tells your team when the vehicle is expected and feeds the workshop calendar so you can see capacity at a glance.
What appointments do
- Schedule a vehicle in — pick a date and time on a jobcard
- Surface in the calendar — every garage has its own calendar view
- Send confirmations — a branded email with the date, time, vehicle and jobcard reference
- Use working hours as defaults — your garage's working hours pre-fill appointment times, and closed days are shaded on the calendar
Two ways to confirm a customer
After setting an appointment, you can send a confirmation by email — a branded HTML message with the appointment date, vehicle plate, jobcard reference, and call/WhatsApp/email CTA buttons. SMS confirmations work the same way and use one SMS credit per 160 characters (most confirmations fit in one). You're offered both right after creating a jobcard with an appointment, and can send them any time from the bell icon next to the appointment on the jobcard's Appointments tab.
Permissions
appointments.view, appointments.create, appointments.edit, appointments.delete. Technicians don't have any of these by default — the appointments tab on a jobcard is hidden from them. See Permissions reference.
